African Savanna Animals
There are a range of animals roaming around in the African savanna. Here are a few of the animals that live there.
AFRICAN ELEPHANT:
The African elephant is the number one mammal that weighs the most in the world. The height of the elephant is around 3.65 meters tall. They have very flexible trunks, & its use is for collecting water, & picking up food. Another feature it has is the long tusks it has coming down on each side of its mouth. The elephants tusks are used for defending itself from predators.

AFRICAN WILD DOG
The African wild dog is a interesting animal. It has there similarities of a wolf, & has spotted fur, a thin body & have four long legs. The height of the African wild dog comes in at between 61-78cm. This dog is the largest dog in the whole of Africa.
AFRICAN LION
The lion is a well known animal all around the world. It is a very strong & courageous animal. Lions have a beige colored fur, & a round head. Lions are hunting animals that hunt in packs together. The lion hunts very sneakily and gets very close to its prey then pounces as it grabs its prey.
NILE CROCODILE
The Nile crocodile is an an animal only found in Africa. It is a strong tough animal. It can grow to be around 5 meters long. They live in fresh water lakes & rivers. They can eat pretty much anything, like fish, turtles or even birds.
